Paimpol and its surroundings

PAIMPOL L'ILE DE BREHAT
Formerly dedicated to the famous cod fishing season in Newfoundland and Iceland the port nowadays mainly deals with oyster-farming and sailing. The city is lively throughout the year and hasn’t lost any of its charm. At a stone’s throw from the shore the archipelago of Bréhat is a paradise for walkers and ramblers: The Island is best visited by foot. Between the Mediterranean vegetation on the southern island and the lighthouse Phare du Paon on the northern tip, the island has various landscapes with its pink granite to offer.
